The Hungarian Association of Physics Students gladly presents the Balaton Summer School in Physics. The speciality of our Summer School is, that there will be four topics from physics simultaneously. Lectures will be held from Astroparticle physics, Energetics, Medical physics and Self-organization and networks every day.

The Summer School is international, the language of the lectures is English. In every session after a brief summary of the topic, lectures will focus on recent scientific results. The lecturers come from respected Hungarian research facilities and universities. All of them are well known researchers in their respective field.

The Summer School takes place between 11-18 July near the spectacular Lake Balaton. There will be five days with lectures and one day for excursions. During the excursions there will be opportunity to visit the local caves, castles, go hiking, or sailing on the lake depending on the wheather.

Accommodation is available for 120 participants in order of registration. The venue we are to occupy is equipped with sports facilities (soccer, basketball and volleyball fields) as well as an open air theatre. This allows for plenty of socialising. A beautiful hilly landscape and the nearby beach adds even more to the quality time that we are to spend together with studying and having fun.
