1. Boat trip to Tihany

We will go for a relaxing boat trip on the Lake to reach half-island of Tihany.Overlooking Lake Balaton and the surrounding townships from Visszhang-domb („Echo-hill”), the Benedictine Abbey is a gem of Tihany, the 2014 recipient of the most beautiful renovated village in Europe award. Due to its excellent location, the abbey has a magical view of the eastern corner of Balaton as well as the south shore. The oldest written words in the Hungarian language can be found in the 1055 establishing charter of the abbey. Founded by Andrew I, the abbey was dedicated to the Holy Virgin and to Saint Aignan. The crypt containing King Andrew’s tomb is open to visitors to this day. The abbey has recently hosted exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.

2. Adventure park and sightseeing in Siófok

On the morning we will go to the Zamárdi Adventure Park, a beautiful 35 000 square meters park near Siófok. There are various barriers and tight ropes between the ancient trees. Seven tracks and three slide tracks are available for adults, where we can revive our inner child.

On the afternoon we will go around the town of Siófok, which is one of Hungary’s most popular holiday destinations. It is famous for its beaches and nightlife. Hungarians often call the town “the capital of Balaton”, as it is the largest city on its shores and acts as the commercial and touristic hub of the region. Its must-see sights are the Water Tower and the meteorological observatory. The old-fashioned villas, the parks and the port give the town a special atmosphere.

3. Paintball and sightseeing in Siófok

The Adrenalin Paintball Action Park lies 5 km away from Siófok (transport fee is included in the excursion fee), we will spend the first half of the day there. They provide 4 different fields to play and full equipment with mask, neck protector, clothing and protective vest. We will use new compressed-air paintball guns.
